Bachelor Thesis
Biomaterial cell segmentation with U-Net and automated confluence pipeline
Abstract:
Cell segmentation is a powerful technique in medical image analysis. The aim of this thesis is to create two different pipelines, the first that will take an image, take through an ensemble of different preprocessing steps and output an image with improved illumination, blurriness and sharpened edges. Then this enhanced image will be fed into the second pipeline, which will take the image, crop it into 256x256 pieces, segment each small picture and then use those to calculate confluency of the image.
